From Accounting to connection

I am a recovering accountant who spent 23 years in public accounting - and along the way, discovered that what energized me most wasn’t the numbers, but the people behind them. I thrived on learning why clients cared so deeply about their businesses, their products, and the impact they wanted to make. Those conversations - about motivation, purpose, and possibility - were always the most meaningful part of my work.

Over time, my curiosity grew into a passion for helping people understand themselves and each other better. Through DISC consulting, I saw how powerful it can be when individuals are given language for how they communicate, think and show up. I also found deep fulfillment in Lean Six Sigma projects, where improving processes wasn’t just about efficiency - it was about creating capacity. Capacity for better workdays, better conversations, and space to reconnect with what matters most (and that isn’t the chargeable hour).

Balanced Imagination is the intersection of all of that experience. It’s where structure meets creativity, where clarity creates connection, and where people are given permission to thrive - not just perform. My work is rooted in the belief that when we make space for people, learning, and balance, better work naturally follows.
